George Bush As A Focus Of Propaganda Posters

George Bush has been one of the most controversial figures of modern politics. Due to his controversial nature, and two successful campaigns for the US presidency, there has been an astounding amount of propaganda produced both in favor and against him. Posters of various nature have been plentiful and are beginning to be sought by collectors with a number of reasons in mind. Some Bush posters collectors simply collect political items, while others are either diehard fans or haters of the President. Others who seek out a Bush poster might simply do so for its comical nature. Whatever the reasons for collecting Bush posters, a collector is sure to not find a shortage of memorabilia for this particular president.

Anti-Bush posters are perhaps the most readily available item, more easy and numerous than any made for his campaigns for presidency. An anti-Bush poster can be either comical or dead serious, but many often produce a heated political point of some sort. George Bush posters made simply for comic effect might show him in a funny expression or in a compromising, comical stance of some sort. Some of these posters have even been so profitable and popular that they have been transformed into t-shirts, mugs, and other merchandise after their initial run on the market. Often these types of Bush posters are short and targeted, as one popular poster available shows him pointing with a blank expression and the word "disobey" on the bottom.

Another poster that is readily available on the internet and in some independent shops has a couple of images overlapped with the words "Dumb and Dumber" on it. While posters along this vein are poking fun at the President and his constant faux pas, others are not as comical and some are indeed harsh. It is possible to find an anti-Bush poster of a much more harsh and graphic nature. Often the harsher posters are direct references to the war in Iraq and might even show graphic pictures of the war and dying people to illustrate the point the originator wishes to make. Some point to pertinent documents to prove their point or might cite specific points in the presidency that are considered unfavorable in the public eye. There are ones of a gentler nature too, like ones making fun of some of his infamous lack of eloquent speech abilities by featuring some of his more memorable speech flubs. There are a couple of newer posters along this line, called "The Bush Chronicles" and "Bushisms" that have been recently put into publication and can be found on the internet for purchase.

It is possible to find a George W. Bush poster that is not negative. After September 11, there were some made highlighting the tragedy and feature his face in a positive political light. A George Bush poster in this particular format makes him look heroic and stately in comparison to the comical, satirical counterparts commonly found. George Bush posters from his campaigns in 2000 and 2004 are highly sought after for their political memorabilia value. Some of these are actual and do not even have his face on it, just his political viewpoint or his name. But ones bearing the Bush name can be just as valuable as one bearing his face; Bush campaign posters are not easily found. George W. Bush posters of any sort are collectible now, but in the future as they become more scarce they will only increase in value. Like him or hate him, collecting George W. Bush posters of any sort might turn out to be a profitable venture in the future. For now, they can at least be a fun addition to a poster collection or an easy way for one to reflect their political stances to the world around them.
