Madonna Posters and Other MemorabiiaMadonna quickly rocketed to music fame in the mid-1980s and has been a sensation since. Her music following is almost cult-like. Fans often collect most anything related to her and her music career has been so lengthy as to allow for many items to be produced regarding her. Madonna posters are a popular item among her fans, and they can be easily stored or displayed. The wide variety of images she has created over the decades have allowed for appeal to many, from a stringent fan who collects everything to someone who finds appeal in a recent, more reserved photo of her. A Madonna poster might be the perfect addition to any music fan's collection. Madonna posters vary in composition. Posters from early in her career are a bit on the wild side and display true 1980s style, with crazy big hair and bright flashy colors. Some of her early posters are a black print on a colored background, advertising her show at a small local venue before she became famous. These have been reproduced in most cases, making these not so difficult to find but an authentic original poster very valuable. Some all-color posters from the mid to late 1980s show Madonna's name in bright lettering and a picture of her in a fixed dance pose of some sort. Not all of the Madonna pictures on her posters show her face, as some just simply show part of her figure. Later posters tend to be less sexual than the early career posters, showing a more reserved side of the music pop star. While very early posters, including one notable one of her completely nude head-to-midsection photo shot from the late 1970s, are bare-all, Madonna's more recent photos have capitalised on simply her famous face. Madonna pics, as a focus of her posters, tend to show her in either posed or candid situations, but most of the time feature pictures that have been posed for. Some posters are available of her at music awards and onstage that show her at her finest. About half of her photos are in color, the other half based in black and white media. Madonna seems to have a fondness for how plainly and direct the nature of black and white photography in portraying her, and most of her photos in recent years have been of her in this form. Most focus on her face, and she is either directly looking at the camera and is alone or is sharing the picture with someone else, most often theatrically such as in the movie poster created for Evita. Madonna pictures are often sensational and dramatic. Finding a Madonna pic might be easier than finding a regular poster advertising her performances. Many pictures of the star are in circulation and it might be easier to obtain a print of one of her photos and frame it than to find a vintage movie poster. Even photo prints of the star are costly; it is nothing to pay around thirty dollars or more for a print of the star, and then still have the additional cost of matting and framing. Madonna pictures are plentiful as she is probably one of the most highly photographed stars of modern times. A Madonna picture might be an affordable alternative to a vintage poster, as some of her posters fetch hundreds or thousands of dollars.
